How do I register for the marathon?

You can register using our short code 38021#, available through GWO SEVO Bulk SMS services. Registration is also promoted through corporate partners, schools, and community outreach across Accra.

What race categories are available?

The marathon features a 21-kilometre main race, along with 5K and 10K categories for families, students, and casual runners.

What is the race route?

The race starts at the Accra Sports Stadium and finishes at the Bukom Boxing Arena, passing through Osu, Labadi and James Town.

Who can participate?

The marathon is open to everyone — from elite athletes and students to corporate teams, keep-fit clubs, and members of the Ga boxing community. International athletes have also taken part in past editions.

Is there insurance coverage for participants?

Yes, all registered participants are covered for the duration of the race.

How can my company sponsor the marathon?

Sponsors receive branding rights at the start and finish points, on athlete vests, and on the event stage, along with opportunities to engage directly with thousands of participants and spectators. Contact our team through the Contact page for sponsorship details.
